Project Manager – Environmental (hybrid)

We’re looking for a Project Manager who brings strong leadership, practical field sense, and the right attitude. Skills can be learned; mindset and work ethic can’t. We want someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, works well with a small, agile team, and genuinely cares about doing work the right way.

As a Project Manager at Remea, you’ll lead multiple environmental remediation and construction projects from planning through close-out. You’ll work closely with Senior Management and cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient, and technically sound projects while building strong relationships with clients, partners, and field staff.

  • Location: Quebec & Ontario mostly.
  • Reports to: Project Manager & General Manager, Remea Canada
  • Work Model: Hybrid (remote possible); minimum 2 days/week in office or at client sites.

Salary range (junior/assistant PM): $ 75,000.00 to $95,000.00 CAD

Salary range (10-15 yr exp.): $ 100,000.00 to $130,000.00 CAD

As a Project Manager, you’ll lead multiple environmental remediation and construction projects from planning through close‑out—working closely with Senior Management and cross‑functional teams to deliver safe, efficient, technically sound projects while building strong relationships with clients, partners, and field staff.

Health & Safety leadership

  • Champion a positive safety culture across all project sites.
  • Ensure compliance with REMEA HSE policies, project risk assessments, and regulations.
  • Support orientations, hazard analyses, and corrective actions.

Project planning & mobilization

  • Plan multiple projects; support field teams and subcontractors.
  • Build/review budgets, schedules, logistics, resource plans.
  • Support tendering (spec reviews, technical/admin submissions).
  • Coordinate with engineering to validate assumptions and methods.
  • Secure materials/equipment aligned to timelines; perform pre‑mob site checks.

Project execution & oversight

  • Lead day‑to‑day operations safely and efficiently.
  • Mentor Site Managers/supervisors; ensure site readiness.
  • Maintain proactive client communication.
  • Track budgets, production, schedule; support forecasting/reporting.
  • Resolve technical/commercial/operational issues; manage internal equipment rentals and utilization.
  • Maintain quality vs. specs and client expectations.

Commercial & contractual

  • Support contract review; collaborate with Senior Management on decisions.
  • Prepare/submit invoicing; resolve billing questions.
  • Maintain documentation and close‑out for clean turnover.
